These documents were issued during World War II to all dependents of military personnel.  They were designed to offset the very low pay military personnel receive for helping to win the wars our politicians get us into.  They are presented here to provide an indication of what the COST of these items were in the United States at the end of 1943.  (Since the military commissaries were NOT designed to MAKE A PROFIT, the prices reflected on these sheets should approximate the cost of these items when purchased in bulk quantities.)
