Uncle Ben, Pat and Tommy (born Dec 1963). Either Nov 1964 on my way to NSG HQ in Washington, D.C. (when Tommy was 11 months old) and I had only 3 days to get to D.C. and didn't have civilian clothing with me; or Dec 1965 on my way to VP-22 in Hawaii from D.C. and 13 months investigation into why I no longer wanted to be in the intelligence gathering business (I didn't trust the people I worked for but couldn't tell them that at the time.) | San Diego Bainbridge Monterey Treasure

(left) 1963 September - BM1 Jones, SSGT Terry, CT2 Ciriacks with bar girls in a staged picture (my arms around the girls was staged) taken in one of the higher class bars in Olongopo, Republic of the Philippines. The bar girls here always dressed up and made their money when patrons bought them drinks - we not doing so very often - we also not visiting this bar except when it was usually empty and when the fleet wasn't in town. The girls only sat with us for lack of anything better to do and because our conversation was usually more entertaining than what they usually heard. (Click it to see the full view.) |
